Primavera invernale. Wintery spring.

March 21, 2018

Yesterday, the nets have been closed almost all day long, but the wind found its way to damage us anyway. In the pic, you can see in which conditions we found the station tent in the afternoon.

This morning around 7, we rolled up our sleeves and settled again the base camp.

Today, the weather forecast indicated south-west wind at 5 knots, but we have been surprised by a wind coming from east with gusts at 16 knots. The transects located at the top of the mount, which are more exposed to the wind, have been closed, and they are not going to be opened for a while since the weather is still so bad.

We had few captures, among which an adult male of Bluethroat, sbspecies cyanicola.
