Se una Rondine non fa primavera, forse un Rigogolo sì! Migratore a lungo raggio, il rigogolo nidifica in Eurasia e in Nordafrica e sverna in Africa a sud dell’Equatore. In Italia è un ospite tardo-primaverile ed estivo, quindi una sua cattura ci fa capire che siamo avanti con la stagione.
Il suo colore giallo sgargiante, soprattutto nel maschio, lo rende uno degli uccelli più facilmente riconoscibili dell'avifauna italiana.

Being a long-range migrant, the Golden oriole nests in Eurasia and in North Africa and overwinters in Africa, at the southern part of the Equator. In Italy it is a late-spring and summer guest, so such a capture makes us understand that we are progressing with the season.
Its bright yellow color, especially of the male, makes it one of the most easily recognizable birds of the Italian avifauna.
