Ormai la primavera è finita e i piccoli non stanno più nascosti nel nido. Può capitare, quindi, di incontrare sulla nostra strada un uccellino che può sembrarci in difficoltà. Non sempre, però, avrà bisogno del nostro intervento, addirittura potremmo causargli molti più danni che benefici!
In breve:
- se è palesemente ferito o malconcio, è ancora privo di piume o non sembra reggersi sulle sue zampe, oppure se è un rondone, allora vi suggeriamo di offrirgli un primo soccorso dandogli un po' di acqua a temperatura ambiente (aiutandovi con una siringa senza ago, semmai), di riporlo al caldo in una scatola resa confortevole e di recarvi nel centro di recupero più vicino.
Di seguito vi riportiamo due link utili per trovare i centri di recupero animali selvatici CRAS o LIPU vicino a voi:
- se ha le piume e non vola, ma saltella e cammina ed è in pericolo (gatti, volpi, zona trafficata,...) lo si può spostare in un posto più tranquillo, cercando di non lasciare troppo il nostro odore e rimanendo entro i 50 m di distanza da dove l'avete trovato
- se ha le piume e non vola, ma saltella e cammina e NON è in pericolo, lasciatelo pure dov'è, saprà cavarsela da solo

By now, spring is over and the little birds won't stay hidden in the nest anymore. It can happen to you to meet a bird on your way, that may seem to be in trouble. Not always, however, it will need our intervention, we may even cause him many more harms than benefits!
Briefly:
- If it is clearly injured or ill, still featherless or it can not stand up, or it is a Swift, then we suggest you give him first aid giving him some room temperature water (helping you with a syringe without needle, in case), put it in a comfy and warm box and bring it to the Nearest Wildlife Recovery Centre.

- If it is feathered and it is not able to fly, but can walk and it is in danger (Predators or traffic), move it in the closest quiet place, trying not to leave too much human odour on it and remaining within an area of 50 m from where you collected it.
- If it has the feathers and it is not able to fly, but can walk and it is NOT in danger, then let it alone where it is, it will get on all right alone
