Il giorno nazionale degli Uccelli negli Stati Uniti d'America cade ogni anno il 5 gennaio, e coincide con la fine del Censimento Ornintologico Natalizio. Quest'ultimo si ripete d decadi ormai: dura tre settimane e rappresenta il più grande monitoraggio basato sulla citizen science al mondo, aiutando così la ricerca sullo stato della fauna ornitica del nord america.

US National Bird Day is on January 5 each year, as it’s scheduled to coincide with the end of the annual Christmas Bird Count. The Christmas Bird Count has been going on for decades. It lasts three weeks and is the longest running citizen science survey in the world that helps to monitor the health of US birds.
