La seconda parte di questa settimana ci ha portato alcune nuove specie per la stagione 2021, fra cui un bell'esemplare di quaglia (Coturnix coturnix).
Le giornate si sono fatte via via più calde e nel fine settimana il numero di uccelli al giorno è sceso leggermente dopo le intense giornate passate a inanellare senza sosta. Infatti, venerdì abbiamo raggiunto un nuovo record giornaliero per la stagione, con 1067 uccelli inanellati, di cui la maggior parte balie nere (circa 400).
Di seguito, alcune foto di altri esemplari inanellati nei giorni passati: strillozzo (Emberiza calandra), calandrella (Calandrella brachydactyla), cannaiola (Acrocephalus scirpaceus), canapino maggiore (Hippolais icterina), cuculo (Cuculus canorus), e il variopinto gruccione (Merops apiaster).
The second part of this week brought us some new species for the 2021 season, including a beautiful quail (Coturnix coturnix).
The days got warmer and warmer and over the weekend the number of birds per day dropped slightly after the intense days spent ringing non-stop. In fact, on Friday we hit a new daily record for the season, with 1067 ringed birds, most of them pied flycatchers (around 400).
Below, some photos of other specimens ringed in the past days: corn bunting (Emberiza calandra), greater short-toed lark (Calandrella brachydactyla), reed warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus), icterine warbler (Hippolais icterina), cuckoo (Cuculus canorus), and the multicoloured bee-eater (Merops apiaster).
