Nonostante la parola 'quiete' accanto a 'storno' sembri un ossimoro, visto che sono uccelli molto sonori, questi due termini ben descrivono la prima parte della nostra prima settimana intera di inanellamento. Infatti i primi giorni della settimana sono stati tranquilli, con pochissime catture (addirittura meno di 5 uccelli al giorno!).
Oggi il numero di uccelli inanellati e leggermente salito e fra le specie abbiamo il primo storno della stagione!
Despite the word 'quiet' looks like an oxymoron close to 'starling', since they are very vocal birds, these two terms describe very well this first whole week of ringing.
Indeed, the first days have been very quiet, with few birds at our nets (even less than 5 per day!).
Today the number of ringed birds have increased a bit and among the trapped species we had also the first starling of the season!
