Il tempo scorre veloce qui alla stazione di inanellamento di Ponza. Siamo giunti a oltre metà della stagione 2017 e possiamo dire di essere soddisfatti di come stanno procedendo le attività.
L'ultimo periodo abbiamo avuto una media di catture al giorno di circa 500 uccelli, con picchi il 23 e il 24 aprile, giorni di lavoro a pieno regime per noi!
Le specie maggiormente catturate sono balie, stiaccini e rigogoli, con qualche sorpresa qua e là, come si può vedere dalle foto.
Time runs fast here at Ponza's ringing station. We've reached over half of the 2017 season and we can say we're happy about how our activities have been going on. In the last period we have had an average catch of 500 birds per day, with peaks on the 23rd and 24th of April, full-day work for us! The most captured species are Ficedula spp., Whinchats and Golden orioles, with some surprises here and there, as can be seen from the photos.
Meteo variabile, per lo più soleggiato ma con giorni anche ventosi, tanto da dover chiudere anche parte delle reti.
