Dopo due giorni di di maltempo con forti raffiche di vento fino a 32 nodi, è tornato il sole. Con esso però non sono tornati gli uccelli alle nostre reti. Negli ultimi due giorni sono pochi i numeri di catture totalizzati. Principalmente troviamo codirossi, pettirossi, rondini, luì, upupa, balestrucci, capinere, sterpine, con talvolta qualche occhiocotto e verzellino, pronti per la nidificazione sull'isola.
I nostri volontari sono tutto il giorno impegnati alle reti e a imparare il mestiere dell'inanellatore. Ciò nonostante, grazie anche ai ritmi non troppo pressanti, viste le scarse catture, stanno anche conoscendo meglio l'isola e le sue risorse. Non mancano quindi esperienze gastronomiche o escursioni naturalistiche agli spettacolari siti di mare vicini alla stazione.
After two days of bad weather with very stronf gusts of wind (up to 32 knots), the sun is back. However, such sun did not come accompanied by birds. Indeed, in the past two days the number of ringed birds are not so high. We had mainly redstarts, robins, swallows, willow warblers and chiffchaffs, hoopoes, hous martins, blackcaps, subalpine warblers, together with, occasionally, some serins and sardinian warblers ready for breeding on the island.
Our volunteers are very busy at the nets and focused on learning the ringer's job. However, since the pace at the station is not so high in these days due to the scarce captures, our volunteers are also getting to know better the island and its resources. Therefore, there are opportunities for having gastronomic experiences and going on naturalistic excursions at the best marine spots near the station.
