In questi giorni l'intero stivale italiano è investito da perturbazioni e piogge. Anche a Ponza il tempo è alquanto instabile e ieri, fra un raggio di sole e l'altro, si sono susseguiti ben due potenti temporali con tanto di fulmini e tuoni.
Tutto questo maltempo ostacola il volo dei nostri amici migratori, ciò nonostante abbiamo raggiunto un totale di circa 270 uccelli inanellati nella giornata di ieri 10 aprile 2019.
Stamattina l'attività è ancora abbastanza calma, ma, per lo meno, abbiamo potuto osservare il primo esemplare dell'anno di quaglia (Coturnix coturnix (Linnaeus, 1758)).
In these days the whole territory of Italy is interested by bad weather fronts and heavy rains. Also at Ponza the weather is unstable, and yesterday, in between a ray of sun and the other, two powerful thunderstorms happened, hitting the island with lightnings and thunders.
Such bad weather is an obstacle to the migration of our feathery friends. However, yesterday the 10th of April 2019, we reached a total of 270 ringed birds in total .
This morning the activity is still very quiet, but, at least, we found the first specimen of quail (Coturnix coturnix (Linnaeus, 1758)) of the season.
